Pritha Ghosh, MD
Assistant Dean of Student Affairs

Dr. Pritha Ghosh is an Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and an Associate Professor of Neurology and Rehabilitative Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. After graduating from the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Ghosh completed her neurology residency training at Georgetown University and her fellowship in movement disorders at the National Institutes of Health. Since joining the faculty at GW, Dr. Ghosh served as the Neurology clerkship director for 8 years, where she mentored numerous students interested in neurology and related fields. Now, in her role as assistant dean of student affairs, she provides career advisory support and guidance to hundreds of medical students throughout the 4 years as they explore careers in the different disciplines of medicine.
Dr. DeQuan M. Smith
Assistant Dean, Student Affairs

Dr. DeQuan M. Smith is a globally recognized higher education leader, educator, and strategist with over a decade of progressively responsible and expansive leadership and budgetary experience across institutional types and functional areas. Dr. Smith currently serves as the Inaugural Assistant Dean of Diversity and Inclusion and Founding Dean for the Office of Inclusive Learning and Accessibility Services at Morehouse School of Medicine. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. He holds a master's degree in sport management and a doctoral degree in leadership and management. Dr. Smith also is a fellow of the Higher Education Leadership Foundation (HELF), an organization that focuses on creating the next generation of transformational leaders to lead the nations HBCU’s.
Jenny Soep, MD
Professor, Pediatric Rheumatology and Medical Education
University of Colorado School of Medicine/Children’s Hospital Colorado
Dr. Soep is a pediatric rheumatologist at University of Colorado/Children’s Hospital Colorado. She has been the pediatric clerkship director since 2008 and the pediatric fourth year director since 2009. She is an active participant and past leader of the Council of Medical Student Educators in Pediatrics (COMSEP) Career Advising Collaborative. She has advised hundreds of students pursuing careers in pediatrics and related fields. In the past year, she has branched out beyond pediatrics as she has taken on the role of Director of Career Advising for all students at University of Colorado.
Erica Sutton, MD
Senior Associate Dean, Undergraduate Medical Education
Morehouse School of Medicine
Dr. Sutton joined Morehouse School of Medicine in September 2019 to serve as the inaugural Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Affiliations. In this role, she is responsible for the growth of academic programs to regional medical campuses as well as partnerships such as the Early Commitment Program with Atlanta University Center Schools. She previously worked at the University of Louisville in the Department of Surgery and as Assistant Dean of Medical Education in Clinical Skills from 2011-2019. Dr. Sutton is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington. She obtained her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. After receiving her MD, she completed her surgical training and fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine Department of Surgery in Baltimore. Dr. Sutton is also president and founder of Surgery on Sunday Louisville (SOSL), a nonprofit founded in 2013 to provide free surgery to people who are uninsured or underinsured. With the aid of over 500 volunteers, SOSL has provided much needed surgical care to over 800 people in its six-year history. The organization has sponsored activities in three states - Kentucky, Indiana, Massachusetts and Georgia.
