This 60-minute session will offer perspectives from advisors on their institutional approaches to advising students about away rotations and to share timely rotation-related information.

Dr. Michele Tartaglia is the Assistant Dean of Clinical Education and an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Rowan Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine located in Stratford, NJ. She is a 2002 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at UMDNJ-SOM. Dr. Tartaglia has held many roles in both graduate and undergraduate medical education throughout her career. She also has extensive experience in faculty development and mentoring.

Donna Dymond

Donna Dymond has worked at Rowan Virtua SOM for more than 20 years in both the clinical and academic arenas. She has held roles as a residency coordinator, clerkship coordinator, course coordinator, and most recently a clinical education coordinator. She especially loves the one on one time with her students and is a tireless student advocate.

Pam Barney, MSRT, RRT, AE-C, NPS

Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine

Pam Barney started her career as a Respiratory Therapist. Within that career, she was able to participate in Neonatal Research, Staff Supervisor, Quality Improvement Coordinator for Women and Children’s Services and much more. She continued her Education at Weber State University receiving her Master’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration. This degree took her to an Executive Director role for a non-profit horse ranch that caters to palliative care patients and their families. She is still invested in that non-profit and their mission, but has recently taken the role of Director of Clinical Education at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine. She’s married, with four children, and the favorite child has fur. She loves baking, reading, walking with the girlfriends early in the morning, pontoon boating, and eating out at new restaurants.
