Please join us on Wednesday, December 13 at 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. ET for How to Excel: AAMC Advisor Information System (AIS) for Advisors.

This webinar will be presented in two sections. The first part will introduce health professions advisors to navigating the AAMC Advisor Information System (AIS) Roster of Applicants Report and integrating it with institutional data. We will share examples of how you can use pivot tables and graphs to learn about and share information with your applicants.

The second part will provide advisors with 2024 AMCAS application cycle data, including a review of important dates, reminders, and resources. We will also provide AMCAS updates for the AY2025 cycle.

There will be time for questions and answers.

Kate M. Fukawa-Connelly

Kate Fukawa-Connelly is the Director of Health Professions Advising at Princeton University. She has been a prehealth advisor for over 15 years and has served on various NAAHP committees and as the former Director of Communications. She is passionate about sharing information with students and advisees, which has led her to delve into the presentation of data and statistics related to prehealth student success.

Marc Counterman
PreHealth Adviser, Eberly College of Science, The Pennsylvania State University

Marc Counterman is an Academic and Prehealth Adviser at the Pennsylvania State University. Since June 2021, Marc has been a Prehealth adviser working with undergraduates at Penn State with aspirations of attending a health profession school after completing their undergraduate degree, emphasizing work with first-generation college students. He has been the “numbers guy” on the team, diving into historical data to find success rates over the last several years for students applying to professional schools. Marc believes that utilizing data available to prehealth advisers can help better serve their students and improve outcomes over time.
