GBA & GWIMS Joint Webinar: Closing the Gender Pay Gap in Medicine - August 20

In her recently released book, Closing the Gender Pay Gap in Medicine, Dr. Amy Gottlieb states, “While much has been written about the problem of gender pay disparities in medicine, a robust discussion about how to rectify the situation has been missing from the conversation.” This 90-minute webinar will showcase several real-world examples of how schools have examined their policies and revised their practices in order to eliminate gender pay differences among faculty. We will also spend time learning and discussing any legal ramifications related to equity in compensation.

This webinar is sponsored by the Group on Business Affairs (GBA) and the Group on Women in Medicine and Science (GWIMS) and is open to all AAMC constituents (employees of AAMC member institutions) who are interested in participating.
